Ground Zero Mosque Another Jihad Victory

The president has approved building the mosque near ground zero.  He spoke to guests during his “iftar dinner” Aug. 13 at the White House, celebrating Islam’s Ramadan, saying, “do unto others as we would have them do unto us.”  Mr. Obama knows all about Islam.  He knows that the Koran (Qur’an) allows and promotes lying to, cheating, enslaving, and even killing infidels (that’s the rest of us).

One thing we must never overlook is the fact that Islam is not just a religion, but also a form of government; one that wants world dominance in both forms with Sharia law.  Remember how Muslims around the world danced and celebrated the attacks on 9/11?  Well, a mosque at ground zero will be icing on the cake, and will represent a symbolic victory, as well as further advancement of Islam into the heart of the “devil” – Satan America.

“Do unto others” Mr. Obama?  I’ll accept a mosque at ground zero when they allow Bibles in Saudi Arabia.  We are a Nation that allows freedom of religion - or are we?  No Bibles in our schools, no religious symbolism in or on any government buildings.  That will change, however, if Islam takes over, because then every government building will have the Koran in it.  Of course, the Constitution will be long gone by then, too.

I refuse to be a second-class citizen in an Islamic world, no better than a dog to them.  I’ve chosen the Prince of Peace, and reject the warrior prophet.  Muslims are welcome in the USA and always will be.  But they will be treated as equals, not as “infidels” to us.

Food from China

Last Halloween season I noticed unfamiliar bags of candy in the grocery store.  On closer inspection, I discovered they were made in China.  This concerns me primarily because of the pet food contamination crisis that we experienced in 2007.  Do you think the problem has been solved?

Contrary to what our government might tell us, our food supply is at risk, and not just from Salmonella or E. coli.  According to Dr. Linda Tollefson, Director of the FDA Regional Office in Europe (and vet school classmate), only 0.6 percent of foods imported into the USA are inspected.  Less than one percent!  Now consider that 60 percent of the apple juice used in this country today comes from China.  Apple juice happens to be the main ingredient in most children’s snack drinks.  In fact, the small carton juice drink I just checked, labeled “apple juice,” now says, “Product of China.”  That would mean 100 percent of the apple juice in that box is from China.

Last year an energy food bar I purchased was recalled because it contained peanut butter that may have been contaminated with Salmonella.  This is a highly-regarded, homespun company that prides itself in quality.  They even display the “USDA Organic” emblem on their packages.  I e-mailed the company’s website and asked if they used any ingredients from China.  The reply was that they search the world for the finest quality ingredients for their products.  Reading between the lines, the answer was, “yes.”

I sent another e-mail, this time identifying myself as a veterinarian and Air Force public health officer.  I got a phone call.  The representative said that, yes, they do use some ingredients from China, but she was not able to tell me what. I replied that unless their company was “hands-on” in China, they couldn’t be sure of what they were getting.  Checking the USDA’s Organic Foods Production Act of 1990, I discovered an interesting clause, Section 2106 (d) “Small Farmer Exemption – Subsection (a)(1) shall not apply to persons who sell no more than $5,000 annually in value of agricultural products.”  Now, the average wage in China is $2,300.  So much for the label, “USDA Organic.”

Our government can only be sure of 0.6 percent of the foods imported into this country.  More and more types of foods and food ingredients allowed into the USA are originating in China.  Some are moved through other Southeast Asian countries to bypass our restrictions, but the real origin is actually China.  Frozen foods from China and Southeast Asia, especially frozen fish and seafoods, are being imported and sold in our neighborhood stores.

China-sourced food ingredients are so pervasive in our processed foods that it’s very likely the majority of processed foods contain something from that country.  The Chinese don’t even trust their own baby formula, yet we are expected to accept everything.  Processed foods include dog and cat treats as well as other regular dog and cat foods.   It’s not a bacterial contamination I worry about, but contamination with heavy metals, pesticides, fertilizers, and chemicals we don’t use in this country and don’t necessarily test for.  I never heard of melamine until 2007, and we weren’t looking for it in the pet food supply.

Part of the current “global economy” movement in Congress is to eliminate source labeling on imported products.  That would be bad.  I’m waiting for the other shoe to fall.

Ohio Congressional Candidate  and BNJ Columnist  Dr. Don Allen Speaks At Ohio TEA PARTY

I was asked to speak at our Youngstown, OH Tax Day Tea Party.  We had rain up until 15 minutes before 4 p.m., when the events began.  We had a small group of 260 people, but they were all very enthusiastic, angry, and afraid that our country is being destroyed from within.  The subsequent coverage by national media was grossly obvious that they are in the pocket of Obama & Co.  Their claim that these people were right wing extremists financed by the Republican Party is simply ludicrous.  They just don't get it.  This was WE THE PEOPLE speaking, and this administration had better listen up.

The next day I read through the Wall Street Journal to see what they did for coverage.  On page 3 was the article on the tea parties, but the bold-face headline read, "Obama Calls for Simpler Tax Code."  It should have read, "Citizens Protest Economic Disaster."  They spun the headline to favor the administration.

Did anyone read or hear anywhere anything about the tea bags that were sent to Washington???  Not a word?  There must have been a mountain of them, and they all went to a DC substation equipped to handle "suspicious" letters, which has been the standard procedure since the anthrax problem.  So where's the story on that?  Did they just take them all to the dump?  Did anyone count them?  Probably not.  They were probably told not to, so that the number couldn't be used by the "opposition," i.e. the vast majority of American citizens.

Not only is this administration out of touch with the reality of WE THE PEOPLE, but they don't seem to give a damn.  How do we deal with this?  Very simple.  Next year we elect new people to Congress.  We can't get this done with just a 30 or 40 percent turnout of voters.  We need 100 percent turnout!  You need to make sure that everyone you know goes to the polls next year to throw these idiots out of office.  That's right.  Go to the statistics on how members of Congress have voted this past year.  If they voted 95 percent or greater with their party, they need to go (you might give the Republican members a little leeway on this).

But the Democrats are pushing through legislation that common sense tells normal people it is wrong.  These members of Congress have virtually NO common sense regarding the wants of Obama, Pelosi and Reid.  Our local Representative, Timmy Ryan, Pelosi's lap dog, boasted that he has $500 million in earmarks for our area.  Yes, a half billion dollars!  And he makes it sound like this is great for our area and isn't he wonderful for getting all this money for us?  Well, Timmy, that's already OUR money you are giving back to us, or more likely, it is our grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's money that you are borrowing from China to squander on pet projects to help you get reelected.  Time to go home and work for a living, Timmy.

All for now,
