Look Out For
Amazon Best Selling Author/Talk Show Star
Kevin Jackon
a BNJ Feature Article

Meet Mr. Kevin Jackson
Photos provided by National Web Designer Sylva Wilson

There's somthing in  the drinking water in St Louis Missouri. It's breeding successful entreprenuers. Step aside  fashion mogul Kimora Lee Simmons, here comes Amazon Best Selling Author of the book "The Big Black Lie" Kevin Jackson. We barely got this article posted when we recieved notice that Mr. Jackson will be making a live appearance on Fox News's Glenn Beck Show on Friday November 6th, 2009 the same day former Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin was scheduled to be on Oprah (rescheduled for November 16, 2009), so you have a lot of tv watching to do (check your local listing). (The Glenn Beck show will be rescheduled for do to Glenn's  urgent hospitalization for Appendicitis).

We at BNJ love to feature people whose star is rising, but Kevin's is doing so, but fast.  BNJ is honored that Mr. Jackson allowed us to write a feature story on him. I think the world needs to take heed that there is real stardom and patriotism from conservatives of all races in St. Louis. I was shocked to find the best Web Designer in St. Louis and former talk show star of the radio show "The Real Deal with George and Syl",
Mrs.  Sylva Wilson. Then I saw Dana Loesch, a radio talk show host on 97.1 FM there and Tea Party rising star  in St.  Louis, who headed up the move to support " Whole Foods " CEO John Mackey with a Buycott encouraging people to buy Whole Food products.

Conservatives reached across the isle, while the owner's supposed liberal friends turned against him simply for writing a dissenting position against the President's healthcare plan (in the Wall Street Journal). So, before most liberals  judge conservatives and tea party goers as KKK members, remember the liberals tried to shut Mackey down; the conservatives in St. Louis stepped in to support Mackey while rescuing jobs and keeping families working. St. Louis risers are the type of people I like, and Kevin is speeding to the head of the pack.   "That's American!"  If we stood up more on issues like this we'd have our country back.

A similar thing happened when The White House tried to turn against Fox News and shut them out from getting interviews, and all of the other news pools (started by Politico ) said that if Fox is not in the mix, none of them will interview. That's unheard of; Americans looking out and sticking out for each other even if they frequently disagree.

But my socks were knocked off when I heard and saw this bright young man guest reporting for Fox News' Glenn Beck show (for the Tea Party Rally In Washington DC, which hosted a couple of million people last count). They had his name on the caption, but the first thing  I remember was Glenn asking Kevin if he saw any Red Necks at the rally, and Kevin answering (paraphrased) " I'm looking for them, but I haven't found them. " My socks fell off and I sat up (which is something I do when I'm hearing something new, but real).  I started laughing so loudly. Thank God my husband wasn't around; he would have thought I was crazy. Then he would have laughed.

When I did some research on Kevin, I found he's the host of his own show called "The Blacksphere"  and his  own blog at :theblacksphere.blogspot.com and  a Conservative radio program  www.theblacksphere.blogradio.com/blacksphere. that deals with politics from another perspective.  Mr. Jackson is  a sought after new face on the public speaking scene and we wish him all of the blessings fit for a King and everything that comes with it, including being a New York Times best selling author.

Mr. Jackson is bold and funny, but very serious about our country and has mingled with such moguls as Republican Committee Chairman Michael Steele, and Fox News Radio personalities such as Judge Nepolitano. However, Kevin thinks of himself as moderately successful. I beg to differ, because instead of looking for successful people out of  Hollywood or New York, the rising stars  are right there in St. Louis. It must be in the drinking water, they share with each other, and they support each other to help each other rise to the top. Sorry folks, but that spirit is not in other cities and towns like the trend I'm seeing coming out of St. Louis, Missouri.

It's a shame how celebrities like Jeanne Garofalo can distort and talk about something (like the Tea Party Patriots , 9/12 Moms Network or 9/12 Project Movements) she knows nothing about. I don't know why hosts or their audiences listen to her words  as if she's an expert on issues of our country and that's the danger in what's happening in America. People are listening to left wing nuts as if they are an authority and the young people are listening too. God help us all.

Kevin is not boring and he's not overexposed, he's not constantly on the same shows promoting his books day in and day out . BNJ readers are turning the channels because they want to see new blood. Everyday people like our readers would be excited to watch someone like Kevin every day on big time news program. That's Glenn Beck's secret and why he's so popular. For all of the conservative people who supposedly support conservative blacks in radio, on TV, or on their shows, there  seems to be none with their own shows on  ABC, CBS (who may not have had to sell stattions if they had Kevin), NBC, or Fox who are backed by  main stream communications outlets like, ABC,  Fox or Hearst Entertainment and others. If  we're wrong, please tell us and we'll correct our statement.

How does one answer that, and why aren't all of the other talk show hosts making room for what the people want to see? Too many people like  Ann Coulter  are over exposed and although good, people get tired of seeing her and others who have the same message and seem to make themselves feel good by supporting some charity or another. That's not having boots on the ground like Kevin Jackson. Lots of people just find something else to do when those "same old guests" come on. They've heard them before.

If these Anchors want to stop being seen as racist, they could start by not always having blond haired, blue eyed so called experts, and start diversifying their hosts like Glenn Beck does, not only in front of the screen. but behind the scenes in pre-production, production and post production. Glenn Beck is the only talk show host who is planning to have a entire day of Black conservative guests on his show to talk about the Black experience as a  Conservative, and I know Kevin Jackson will be on the front row (I believe that will be the show on Friday). Kevin says he doesn't believe you can be a conservative without believing in God.

In digging a little bit, Kevin may be sharp on the issues of politics, but he seldom lets his softer side show. Mr. Jackson is a doting father of 4 young men. Three sons are of college students or soon to be college students and one is not quite 3 years old. Kevin says of his youngest son, "I expect him to be smarter than all of us". I teared up, because in spite of having 2 failed marriages, Kevin wants the best for his sons and in my book is the man of the hour.

This "born conservative" man on the rise said something very interesting. Kevin believes the liberals are winning their war in politics because conservatives don't help each other. He said "People are about their promotion and not helping others voices be heard," and that's why Kevin- like Glenn Beck- will change the tide in Conservative talk. Kevin thinks that there will be a Black Talk show host on the horizon who is another Rush, Sean or Glenn, but many would say "Why can't there be 4 or 5 on that level?"

We don't see enough serious and real talent on the airwaves of different ethnic groups. Until that is changed, people can talk about it all day long but that won't make them truely diverse racially. The changes have to be made by the decision makers behind the scenes and the talk show hosts who can have co hosts of different ethnicities and authors who are lesser known on their shows every week if they choose. I know Kevin will make that happen when he reaches "Legendary Status". We at BNJ will say we knew him when.

Maybe Kevin will even get the Nobel Peace Prize for showing people how to be great dads, which in return makes great citizens, which in turn makes us have a stronger and safer world. You have my vote, Kevin. As a single dad, Mr. Kevin thinks young men need to hear from strong men making it in this tough world like himself. I think whatever water is in St. Louis they need to consider selling it across the country. We need more Mr. Jacksons in this society. I like him, because he's an Independent Thinker which is the principle BNJ was founded on. In the media we will know that we are what America should be when Kevin and his production crew have their own big time radio show. It's funny Kevin barely looks like he's out of college himself, but don't underestimate his knowledge. Maybe his youthfulness is a part of his strength and charm. Breaking News Journal LLC wishes Kevin the best of success.

An Entreprenuer That Can Help You Get Your Values Straight

BNJ Features Phyllis Klein, collaborated and edited by Steven A. White

Breaking News Journal will be freaturing different people with different stories and Phyllis is our choice for June. She is an independent thinker and professional Values-Based Master Coach. It seems from what we can tell Phyliis is a delightful person that everyone should know.  She cares about people and making their lives better.

After graduating from the University of Maryland with a degree in Behavioral & Social Sciences (Psychology and Criminology), and turning down a job with DEA, Phyllis Klein worked as a Mental Health Counselor specializing in adolescent behavior.

When given the opportunity, Phyllis relocated to California in 1985 to fulfill her desire of being adventurous, independent, and self-sufficient.  Basically, she refused to live a cookie-cutter life, and always sought out new experiences, says Phyllis.

While working in the medical field for two years, she observed insurance fraud and decided to study insurances in order to educate and serve seniors. She received her insurance license and became securities licensed to work with people living in and planning for a secure retirement. Working with families introduced her to many different types of multi-level marketing businesses. On a part-time basis, she began coaching clients on how to build their downline. This experience taught her the value of having duplicable systems in place. Phyllis also learned how to structure teams and integrate the importance of core values into that process. The MLM experience gave her an understanding of what each person is going through when they become self-employed.

As Phyllis demonstrates, being self-employed creates a thought process that doesn’t exist when you are an employee. She says: "I have studied many books on the topics of the Universal Laws, psychology, networking, and belief systems.
I personally work with two coaches, each providing a vital perspective on helping me to live my  life’s potential. My imagination and inspiration allows me to create with ease.
I have trained my mind to believe in my own abilities to succeed."

Phyllis has an entrepreneurial, innovative, and a little unorthodox spirit.  The principles and strategies she has implemented in business for 22 +years and in her personal life have manifested into phenomenal opportunities for her.

Says Mrs. Klein, "In 2004, I was recruited by an international company to train hundreds of insurance and real estate agents how to build a big business and how to duplicate their efforts. That experience allowed me to develop a great passion for coaching entrepreneurs and assisting them in identifying their core values in order to propel them forward in their business and personal life."

Throughout  her 24 years in California, Phyllis has had three significant experiences where transformation was involved and  was awakened to the possibilities that are deeply rooted in her.  Each of these situations involved death or the possibility of death. Phyllis elaborates;" The first was in 1986 when I had a terrible car accident where the car flipped and rolled across three lanes of traffic into a hillside (as opposed to the falling down the cliff side). No one else was involved and I was in shock but not badly injured."

"The second transformational experience I had was spending the weekend with dear friends and taking the opportunity to review their finances.  That in and of itself isn't so special; afterall, that was my business. However, only five days later, the husband died unexpectedly. I knew his wife was secure financially and felt a revived sense of purpose. How would I have felt if his wife said to me 'Gee, Phyllis, how come you never talked to us about insurance?' Wow! Instead, after the funeral, she thanked me for providing her with peace of mind".

"The third incident was the death of a young girl which was my awakening that I was meant to have a child and as a result, totally change my life and the relationships in it at the time.  Once I had an inner knowing that this is what I was meant to do, eveything seemed to fall into place.  The Universe responded with abundance".

It is my great pleasure to be able to share with others how proven strategies can and will allow them to  live their lives on purpose.
